About our Superlogs Treated Pine

There are 5 treatment levels for pine ranging from H2 to H6, with H3 the minimum that should be used in wet areas (ie. all outdoor applications). All levels of treatment are to protect against termite attack so that when eaten the insect will eventually die. The SUPERLOG treatment also contains a repelling agent that deters termites from even trying the logs! All pine is treated to only about 80% of the cross section of the timber, but includes the entire (both) ends. When cut, the resultant exposed end grain should always be left out of the ground and be re-treated as this is the most likely area for both termites to attack & decay due to moisture. At BHLS we only sell H4 logs or higher.
